MDF Powder Coating Care & Maintenance |

Cleaning is essential for all powder coated surfaces in order to maintain the original performance characteristics of the coating.
If the Opalz powder coated surface becomes dirty, it should be wiped clean as soon as possible to reduce the likelihood of staining.
Never use abrasive cleaners such as Jif, Vim, Ajax, Chemico, Brasso, Oven Cleaners, neat Janola, wire wool, scourer pads or sandpaper.

Regular Cleaning
Wash with warm soapy water and follow up with a dry cloth
Dirt Build Up
Use a general purpose spray and wipe*. A very soft brush can be used in conjunction with the spray and wipe if necessary.
Stubborn Marks or Stains
Apply Handy Andy* or diluted Janola* (or other diluted household bleach*) using 1 to 3 parts of water. |
* It is recommended that prior to using spray and wipe or diluted bleach, testing should be carried out on an inconspicious area of the board. This is recommended because different manufacturers use different concentrations of chemicals and it may not possible to know what concentrations are being used. |
