DECO Australia successfully renews ISO 9001 accreditation

ISO9001:2015 is an international standard that sets out the criteria for a Quality Management System. These systems are implemented across relevant business procedures ensure a dedication to quality and high standards are always upheld. The standard is based on several quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the process approach and continual improvement.

This year was the first time the audit covered both of DECO’s business departments – Industrial and Architectural. And as a result, the entire business is now fully ISO 9001 accredited. All processes across both of DECO’s business divisions were included in the audit, which was undertaken by international accredited registrar DNV-GL, who are a highly acclaimed accreditor in the defence sector and many other industries.

The ISO 9001 audit takes place annually and alerts the company to aspects where the business could be improved, as well as examining how businesses put internal measures in place to continually improve their processes and procedures. DECO received a glowing report for 2020, which stated DECO Australia have a high degree of control over all its operations, and the auditor found no evidence of nonconformities with the requirements set out by the standard.

Achieving this accreditation means DECO are successfully meeting our business objectives, which focus on quality, customers and innovation. Being ISO 9001 accredited highlights DECO’s achievements as a certified supplier in key industries, including defence, engineering and manufacturing – and means we can confidently offer quality products and services to meet customers’ needs every time.

DECO’s positive leadership, evidence-based decision making and engagement of all staff were critical to achieving this important accreditation.
