With standard construction methods, the construction of a batten façade involves a stud frame wall, sheeted with material such as gyprock or fibre cement, and then painted – generally with at least two coats – before the battens are installed.

With the SpaceBase™, builders and trades can save time and money by installing the battens directly onto the stud frame – eliminating the need for sheeting, paint and additional trades before installing the façade.

The SpaceBase™ is also suitable for installation directly onto other surfaces like brick, ceilings, existing fence panels and more.

2. Fast and easy to install

Installation is a builder’s dream with no prefabrication of frames or supports – simply screw the base directly onto the frame or surface and you are good to go. Your chosen QuickClick™ batten covers are then quickly and easily clicked into place over the base with concealed fixings, creating an effortless, seamless finish.

3. Perfect spacing

The SpaceBase™ features an extended backing plate that is available in two popular sizes – 25 mm and 50 mm widths. The innovative backing system allows you to achieve consistent, even spacing between each batten whilst eliminating timely measuring and marking out.

TIP: The 50mm SpaceBase™ can be trimmed down for smaller gaps, offering design flexibility.

Batten covers are available in an exclusive range of colours and sizes including an angular and curved profile. The backing plate can also be finished in any matching or contrasting Super Durable™ DecoWood® or plain powder coat, offering endless design opportunities.
