Over the past decade, Tiny Homes have sparked interest and intrigue into sustainable living and are becoming a creative solution for living and vacationing across the country.
We caught up with Rachel and Justin from Black Clay, a Gold Coast based building team who specialise in building stunning and sustainable Tiny Homes. On their latest design, The Harper, they have elevated tiny home’s façade with architectural curved feature using DecoBatten®.
“DECO products are perfect for our tiny house builds.” Says Rachel. “Tiny homes on wheels are restricted by weight limits so we need to source lightweight yet durable materials. DecoBatten® allow us to achieve a timber-look without the extra weight and maintenance.”
These compact dwellings are redefining traditional notions of space and inviting us to embrace a lifestyle that is functional, sustainable, and delightfully practical. Rachel commented, “We are very happy with the product. It is easy to install, and the timber-look appearance is very realistic. During the build we had a number of people comment that they thought the battens were real timber!”
Rachel and Justin selected the DecoWood® Curly Birch® finish for their DecoBatten® façade. This popular finish creates a calming and tranquil palette, that sits easily in the natural environments and pairs perfectly with the other exterior elements.
