Showcasing the sophisticated DecoClad® Castelline™ profile across the entire facade, the Madrid by King Homes is the designed for contemporary living.
At HomeWorld Oran Park, where dozens of builders compete for attention, the façade of a display home has a big job to do. For the Madrid, the vision was clear from the outset: create a contemporary take on the modern Mediterranean look—something light, refined and instantly “Instagrammable” from the street.
“We wanted a façade that felt architectural yet approachable,” Veronica, from King Homes + @BuildersWife explains. “Clean lines, soft textures and warm materials help us strike that balance between elevated design and everyday liveability.”
Materiality plays a defining role in how the Madrid presents itself to the street. Every element was chosen to introduce softness and texture while still performing in Australian conditions. As a volume builder, durability and ease of installation matter just as much as aesthetics.
The use of linear cladding, particularly DecoClad® Castelline® castellated cladding, adds depth and shadow without overwhelming the palette. It’s a subtle way to create visual interest, and it aligns beautifully with current architectural trends that favour rhythm, texture and simplicity over busy material contrasts.
At HomeWorld Oran Park, the Madrid display home was designed as a fresh, contemporary take on the modern Australian aesthetic — light, refined and effortlessly eye‑catching from the street.
“Extending the DecoClad® cladding across the garage door, façade and entry allowed us to create a seamless, architectural look rather than a single isolated feature.” explains Veronica.
“By continuing the material across multiple elements of the façade, it connects the home and draws the eye toward the entry. It also gives the façade a more custom feel, which is something our clients increasingly appreciate. Even though this is a display home within a volume environment, we always aim to show how thoughtful design decisions can elevate the overall finish.”
A Seamless, Architectural Moment
One of the standout decisions was extending the DecoClad® across the garage door, façade and front entry. Rather than isolating it as a single feature, the material wraps the front elevation in a cohesive, custom-feeling layer.
“By continuing the cladding across multiple elements, it connects the home and naturally draws the eye toward the entry,” Veronica notes.
The result is a façade that feels more bespoke than what you might expect in a volume display environment.
