Browns Engineering have been building luxury houseboats in Moama, New South Wales for many years, and are renowned for their quality craftsmanship and modern design. So when it came to the design of their rear decks, they had to be built from durable products with a stunning finish that matched the quality of their boats.
DecoDeck® provided an ideal solution for the house boat’s marine decking and was used for the rear decks and duckboards. The 134mm DecoDeck® boards are coated in Super Durable™ DecoWood® for a stunning woodgrain finish with a realistic timber appearance. Being a marine grade product, DecoDeck® will not corrode or rot away and simply requires a hose down after use.
To ensure the safety of its owners and their guests when using the boat, Browns Engineering also used DecoDeck® because it contains rubber particles, making it slip-resistant and safe to walk on when wet. Additionally, solid aluminium DecoDeck® has excellent thermal conductivity and dissipates heat evenly across the boards, reducing hot spots that can make walking or sitting on a traditional timber deck uncomfortable during a hot day.
Browns Engineering choose from 18 DecoWood® colours, but top picks are natural Ironbark, Curly Birch and Silky Oak.
