Located in prime position overlooking Wollongong’s Belmore Basin, Bombora Seafood Restaurant has been a local for more than 30 years. During a revamp in 2006, Bombora opted for DecoWood® finished bifold windows and doors, giving the restaurant an indoor-outdoor feel and warming up the concrete and steel aesthetic of the fish market precinct.
Salt spray and UV radiation are two of the harshest factors that deteriorate building products, making Bombora’s location one of the most prone. However, after almost 20 years, Bombora’s windows and doors continue to deliver on practicality and appearance.
“If these were timber, I would have had to replace them three times already,” stated Bombora’s owner.

While since moving to Super Durable™ ‘Class 2’ powder coating, DecoWood® used ‘Class 1’ powders in 2006, yet the colouring and woodgrain finish remains vibrant overall, and the intense salt spray has not corroded the finish as it can with standard powder coating.
With no painting or staining required, Bombora’s DecoWood® windows and doors have withstood some of the most corrosive conditions with minimal upkeep.
