Cabrini Hospital, Gandel Wing

This project demonstrates the expansion of healthcare design and how to enhance patient comfort. Cabrini Malvern’s Gandel Wing has been designed with patient wellbeing in mind and is a major step forward for the hospital in their continuous efforts to provide the best experience and service to their patients. Careful consideration of treatment quality, comfort and calmness was front of mind when Bates Smart designed the new wing.

DecoDeck® was chosen for this project for its longevity, which will ensure the deck will retain its stunning natural appearance even after years of wear, and its slip-resistant properties make it an excellent decking option for hospital patients.

The light, greyish hues of the Weathered Timber finish beautifully complement the modern design of the newly-refurbished wing of Cabrini Hospital, while the ease of cutting DecoDeck® means it can fit seamlessly around the curved gardens throughout the courtyard. This easy-to-install, low-maintenance decking has allowed Altitude Co. to create a simple elegance for the new hospital courtyard that will stay looking stunning for years to come.
