Inspired by Milan. Reinterpreted in Sydney.

This year, we attended one of Sydney’s premier design events, Saturday InDesign; where we joined forces with CDK Stone and Havwoods, to create an immersive design journey.

Drawing on highlights and features taken from Milan’s Design Week, we’ve worked with CDK Stone to create some Material Gallery inspiration.

Marimekko and Apartamento Magazine breath new life into thie historic Bar Stoppani with Bar Unikko, an immersive tribute to the 60-year legacy of the iconic Unikko print. Spanning from the floor to the tableware and awaning overhead, the installation transferd a neightbouerhood institution into a living expressiong of Marimekko’s design languare.

We’re loving the warmth and harmony in this image, and the way the rich stone and timber-look finishes work together.

MAWD | March and White Design reimagines the Grand Salon in L’Appartamento by Artemest, as a contemporary homage to Rome, where classic influencens meet refined craftmanship. Rich burgundy walls are offset by warm timber flooring and bronze detailing to create a layered backdrop of depth and sophistication.

Accents of velvet, marble and sculptural furniture furnishings, bring texture and contrast resulting in a poalette that feels dramiatic. Balancing grandeur with comfort, the space evokes the Theatrical romance of a Roman salon through a distinctly modern lens.

This design and palette leans into the saturation of warms, while leveraging the lighter hues to being air and breathing space.
The lighter tones also create an anchor to the space and helps keep it grounded.

With Honey Ember® being one of our newer finishes, we loved seeing it fits so elegantly into this saturated design . The depth of Dark Mocha works to hold your gaze, while the substitution of the grey marble for the fabric, adds an elements of luxury.
