DECO Revisited Projects
DECO recently revisited some standout projects to see how the DecoWood® finish has withstood the test of time. Explore the below projects to discover more about these timeless and long-lasting DECO transformations.
DecoWood® Fencing and Gates
This DecoWood® slat fence continues to deliver a premium timber aesthetic, more than a decade on. Replacing a rotting soft wood fence, custom DecoSlat® panels were fit between existing brick pillars as well as three tailored gates, all finished in DecoWood® Casuarina to complement the brickwork.
A Decade with DecoDeck®
Freshly cleaned DecoDeck® looking as good as new in this high-traffic backyard and pool-surround, almost a decade later. Located in Sydney’s Upper North Shore and nestled amongst bushland, these homeowners chose DecoDeck® for it’s longevity and fire safe rating – and they’ve never looked back.
Classic Homestead Style on Sydney Acreage
Low maintenance living with DecoWood® windows on this classic homestead style home. In 2008, these homeowners chose DecoWood® for their south-west Sydney home, achieving a timeless timber look but with the durability and ease of aluminium.
Commercial-Grade Durability More than 15 Years On
Architects McPherson, Smith and King selected DecoPanel® and DecoSlat® for Bing Lee’s head office to soften the building’s concrete façade while delivering long-term durability and performance with minimal ongoing maintenance. The DecoWood® finish has withstood over 15 years of industrial pollution and continues to look just as good as it did when it was installed in 2011.
Bombora Seafood Restaurant
Overlooking Wollongong’s Belmore Basin, Bombora Seafood Restaurant was refurbished in 2006 with stunning bi-fold windows and doors finished in DecoWood® Bush Cherry®. The design enhances the indoor–outdoor dining experience, and twenty years on, the windows remain as impressive as the view.
McDonald’s Preston II: Built to Last
Aging gracefully with lasting appeal and durability, McDonald’s Preston has remained largely unchanged more than 15 years on. Situated on a busy intersection, this restaurant required a facade solution built to endure harsh conditions – and this is exactly what our DecoWood® cladding has achieved.
DecoWood® Durability at the Heart of Homemaker Centre
An eye-catching DecoBatten® facade that has confidently stayed the same. Adding warmth and visual interest to the Marsden Park Home Hub, the DecoWood® battens across the facade, soffits and eating areas have provided longevity for this popular dining hub.
Zen Oasis
A tranquil retreat blending Japanese-inspired design with Australian rural charm. Designed to reference the original 1948 timber-clad building, almost five years on Zen Oasis’ beautiful DecoClad® exterior in the classic DecoWood® Silky Oak® finish still looks almost new despite the harsh western sun and cool Highland winters.
