Nestled in the serene rainforest of the Tamborine Mountain Glades, the Elemental Bathhouse facility by Sol Elements acts as a transformative space for rejuvenation and tranquillity.
Bringing the core principle of biophilic design to life, the communal bathhouse, designed as a sculptural ring like sanctuary, has been wrapped in DecoBatten® and finished in the beautiful Super Durable™ DecoWood® American Oak finish. Ensuring long-term durability whilst imitating the natural appearance of timber, DecoBatten® blends the bathhouse within the surrounding landscape.
By using the 150 x 50mm QuickClick® battens, Elements Bathhouse mirrors the natural textures of the environmental backdrop onto the building’s façade. Creating a encompassing and holistic space, the addition of DecoBatten® aids in strengthening individuals’ connection to the earth whilst embracing the bathhouse’s modern-day wellness rituals.
‘When we were introduced to DECO through our design team, we had no idea how realistically the alloy battens would imitate timber without fading or bowing. The crown-like form the DecoBatten®’s create around SOL’s exterior is truly an architectural vision’ stated Russ Raven, founder of SOL Elements.
Creating an immersive and multi-sensory experience in the mountain glades, SOL Elements Bathhouse is a warm and organic space that has been grounded by DecoBatten®, connecting individuals to the natural world.
